Requirements

CBFront runs entirely on your website. Listed below are the requirements you need in order to run CBFront. This is not an all-inclusive list, some web servers are setup differently than others. If you have troubles installing or running CBFront, support is only an e-mail away.

To check these requirements on your server, download our test script which will tell you what requirements your server meets. To use this script, simply download it, upload it to your website and open your browser to the file. Example: if your website is mysite.com and you upload it to your root HTML folder, your test script URL would be mysite.com/cbfront.php.

PHP 5.2.4 or greater
MySQL 4.0 or greater
Mod_rewrite - This enables search engine friendly links and is required. This is usually standard on most web servers.
PHP MySQLi Library - This enables communication between your database and CBFront. This is a standard feature built into most PHP installations. If this is not installed, most webhosts will enable it for you.
PHP Safe Mode Disabled - Safe mode is a way of securing PHP against certain issues. CBFront can run with safe mode enabled, however parsing the ClickBank® XML file can be an issue since the file size is over 20 megabytes. Most webhosts can disable safe mode for you on a per-site basis or even on a per-script basis.
PHP fopen Enabled - Fopen is a way for PHP to communicate with other websites. CBFront uses this method to download the ClickBank® XML product feed. You can still run CBFront without having this setting enabled but you will have to manually upload the XML feed (takes only a few minutes).
PHP Zip Library - The Zip library lets PHP unzip files. If your web server does not have this enabled, CBFront cannot unzip the ClickBank® XML feed. You can still run CBFront but you will just have to manually unzip and upload the XML feed.
